After a couple minutes of feeling each other out, Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva landed a front kick of doom to put away fellow Brazilian Vitor Belfort. During the early going it felt like the Anderson that leaves Dana White unimpressed showed up in the Octagon tonight. Turns out Silva was just waiting for Vitor to get off first.
Silva walked over to his downed opponent after a brief celebration and embraced him. It almost looked like tears were coming from Silva's eyes after the embrace. The two did train together, albeit briefly, at Black House with the Nogueira brothers during a rough transition period in Vitor's life.
