Jose Aldo brings his WEC Featherweight Belt along with a 10 fight win streak into the cage tonight when he takes on #1 Contender Manvel Gamburyan. Not unlike Anderson Silva or Fedor during their prime, it's hard to look at the 24 year old Aldo and actually fathom someone beating him at 145 or even 155 for that matter. It's only a matter of time before Aldo clears out the WEC Featherweight division, and when he does it remains to be seen if he makes the jump to Lightweight for either the WEC or the UFC. If he does it will give fight fans plenty to talk about.
Megumi Fujii brings a perfect 21-0 record into Louisiana when she takes on Lisa Ward for the right to fight in the Championship Bout of Bellator's Inaugural 115 lb. Women's Tournament. No one in MMA history has won 22 consecutive contests as was stated by Daniel Robertson in his article for MMA fighting earlier today. At the age of 36 it's uncertain how long Fujii will continue her career . What is for certain though is that the outcome of her rematch with Lisa Ward tonight plays a crucial part in the career of the worlds #1 Female P4P fighter.
