Referee Kim Winslow was under plenty of scrutiny Saturday night for not stopping the massacre Cristiane *Cyborg* Santos put on Jan *Cuddles* Finney earlier than the eventual 2nd round stoppage. Finney in Winslow's defense was quoted as saying "It's my decision, leave those people out of it". Finney will be going back to her natural weight class at 135 after this fight.
The only thing Finney was awarded after the fight was three medical suspensions. 180 days for a fractured eye socket, 60 days for laceration to both sides of the face and 45 days for a TKO loss.

ReplyDeleteThis was hard to watch - not just because they are women though. It was just the fact that Finney walked in and it was so blatantly obvious that she had NO business being in the ring with cyborg at all.
All fights that are that out matched are hard to watch because it's not even a fight...like you said it's ends up being a massacre.
You should research how Finney got the nicknames "Cuddles"
